This isn't really a computer problem, but I didn't know where else to put it.
Yesterday I tried converting a .str file (PlayStation video file) to .avi using a freeware program called Super, so that I could view it in WMP. The conversion worked fine. When I started playing the AVI, it was okay at first. Then about thirty seconds into the video, I noticed that it had slowed down a lot and couldn't catch up with the audio. Like for example, you hear a character speaking but their mouth isn't moving, and then a few moments later their mouth starts moving. You get the idea. Anyway, I've also tried converting the STR to ASF, WMV, MPG, MOV, MP4, and FLV, but I got the same results with all of them. I even tried separating the video and audio into two different files, then importing them to Windows Movie Maker, to see if I could somehow re-align the audio. That's when I noticed that the video had a longer run-time than the audio. This has left me more confused than ever. All I know is it has something to do with the STR file. By the way, the STR file itself doesn't have this problem. It plays properly. The problem only occurs when I convert it.
