Well you are reading this because you do not know how to get onto the game!  So this will tell you how to get into the game. Smiley

Step 1 - Click  this link. http://games.byond.com/download/ Now download and install BYOND. This is needed to get on. Mostly because this game is not a stand alone but coded with a game engine.

Step 2 - Go here and create a free BYOND account. https://secure.byond.com/gameconsole.cgi?qd=newKey This is needed so you can login to the game because guest access is disabled.

Step 3 - After installing BYOND (Note: You might need your parents help because you do need to be on a user account with admin access) you use the key that you just made to login to the BYOND hub pager program.

Step 4 - After your connected to the pager. If you are not lazy you can go to http://www.byond.com/ click live games and search for Pokemon RP Reborn. Seeing as most people are lazy here is a direct link to the hub of are game. http://games.byond.com/hub/Perpetr8rthePerpetu8r/PokemonRPReborn

Step 5 - Click Join on one of the live games then when you get the download just click open. (Note: Its rare but the server can go down every blue moon so if you dont see a live game just check back later.)

Tips - When you get in game if you need some help you can get support over the Gm pager system. Under commands you click request a gms assistance. This will page an admin and we will reply asap. When we reply you will see your pager light in the top right corner of the screen of the game start flashing red and green. Just click it!

If you need some in game info you can also check here at the main site for more info! http://www.arenacomic.0catch.com/PRPR/index.html

Keep in mind that this will not answer every question but it will. answer the most common ones.

Hope to see you new players in game!

You know, for a bit I kinda felt stupid when I first found the PRPR, downloaded BYOND for linux, and logged in for the first time. The thing is, everyone was telling me to make a "new game" but I couldn't see a command called "new game."

The Linux, Mac OS, and basically all BYOND clients that are not for windows are Text-only, meaning that you can't see any graphics at all, and that means you can't see the beginning banner that has the "New Game" and "Continue" buttons on it. Well, actually, that's a bit incorrect- they do have the map in the linux version, but it's text only and pretty small. So, you do technically see "New Game" and "Continue," but they don't say "New Game" and "Continue." They basically have a few S's for the New Game, and a few C's for Continue.

So, depending on which you want to do, you'll need to click one of the S's (for new game) or one of the C's (for continuing your game) and then you'll be logged in! (Note that you have to be using a X-Windows terminal to actually be able to click on the stuff, such as xterm, gnome-terminal or Konsole. If you have a GUI such as Gnome or KDE, it's safe to say you're using X-Windows)

Note that I haven't actually done New Game on the Linux version yet, so I don't know how to navigate through it, but it can't be too bad, right? (I assume it'd be somewhat like the sending a message to GMs thing is, as both are in dialog boxes on Windows, and it had some funky command line thing on linux )

And after that, it's pretty much like the windows version. You can double-click on things on the map to target them. Some of the letters, such as an 'L' for ledge, are somewhat apparent, but you can't differentiate different pokemon and different trainers and sometimes I can see that being quite frustrating. It'd be a whole bunch easier if they'd just release a GUI version.  You can also click on the commands in your stat panel to use them. Press Ctrl+N to scroll down your current stat panel, Ctrl+P to scroll up it, and Ctrl+E to switch what stat panel you're looking at. (The stat panels are those tab things on the windows version.)

Now, I was only testing all this for about 5 minutes until I tried to relog and BYOND went down for some odd reason, so if you have trouble and need help, feel free to post here and ask for it. Also, if you have any corrections, or want to add more information, feel free to post too.

I know it's rare for anyone on here to be using a text-only client (I think I'm probably the only one ) but just in case, I wanted to help out.
