TipsNow, this may LOOK simple, but that second point is a real doozy if you're not prepared!
In fact... because I'm so nice and want people to succeed, I'll give you all a few tips. When you get told to go visit Whiscash and hear his story, DO NOT GO YET. First, stock up on all the items you will need for the first few dungeons on the journey, because you will not be given a chance to prepare again until much later on, and even then you will only be able to take items out of your storage. So you should really try to fill your storehouse with oran berries, reviver seeds, big apples etc before you get to that point. I personally used roughly 2-3 reviver seeds when I went through that dungeon series (the bosses hit HARD), so it's better to be prepared than to try and find useful items in the dungeons themselves.
I also highly recommend a TM like Bullet Seed. Bullet Seed is one of those moves that's just totally over-powered in the game and can dish out
several hundred damage in a single attack. I was fortunate enough to find two of those, and so equipped one to my bulbasaur partner. Whenever a boss fight would come up, I'd switch on only bullet seed, set his IQ tactic to "Dedicated Move User", and let him wreak havoc on Moltres/Articuno/Whoever. However, if you are going to use an attack like that, I also suggest switching it off whenever you're
not in a boss fight. Not only does it have low PP, but there are times when it can actually cause friendly fire damage and kill YOU! So yeah, use only in emergencies.
Lastly, your partner should be a bit stronger than you due to levelling faster for some reason. Because of this, don't be afraid to occasionally use them as a meat shield if you're in danger. I also gave my partner an oran berry to hold at all times. When either of our HPs get low, he just uses the berry and then we're good to go again. Ah, and raising their IQ (and your own) is always recommended. The IQ skills come in really handy.
HOW TO RECORD YOUR PROGRESSRecording your progress is simple. Each week you go to that week's topic and post
one post. In that post you simply list the objectives you have completed. See the first reply for an example.
Anytime you complete an objective or a rescue, modify your post.
Do not create a new one. At the end of each week I will go through and tally all the scores. Also, if you rescue someone from a previous week's mission but it's within 4 days of them posting the request, report it in the most recent week's thread. For example, if someone needs a rescue on Friday and I save them on Saturday, I would post that I rescued them in the new week's tally. Even if you don't get points for stuff, record it as well. It's important so you know what you did
