Soooooooo, I was going on cam to show Darck my stylus .. well uh. I guess that part doesn't matter as saying the rest of that would probably give people the "Wtf o_O" look. Anyway. My computer froze and my music started to skip / repeat over and over again. I was able to send a few messages before I had to completely force shut down and turn on again. However, when my computer came back to life - I couldn't open msn. When I clicked sign in, a second later it would come up with that message "Send error report - Don't send" Which is this: I restarted my computer twice now and I still can't open msn. Any ideas on what to do? :/ I would like my msn prz. D: And I'm using meebo now on the side so that I don't have to go completely naked .. as I'm going to put it .. but I still want msn to work. As a note; I believe I'm using msn messenger 8.5

My friend Rosa was having the same problem awhile ago.
Get rid of anything relating to that msn, get rid of the program, uninstall anything you might have had attatched to it.
Restart your computer after thats done, then simply redownload it. If 8.5 still doesnt work, I suggest downgrading to 7.0.

Rofl. Good luck.
You can always save your MSN logs in a different file format. It'll save them from being taken down.

): Hm... Try opening it, but not signing in? Run the diagnostics.
Go to Tools > Options > Connection > Connection Trouble shooter.
Then hit start.

I sort've have the same problem, but my computer's so messed up, it's un-true. If i want to go on Internet explorer, my MSN has to be closed or else my system freezes, Blue screen pops up with alot of coding, ect. And vice-versa, I can use T-mobile to my advantage by opening it, Connecting, then suddenly closing it during connection -Checking ports- it let's me use MSN and the Interwebs at the same time, Yay! ^^ It isnt something that great but if you're computer turned out like that you'd be so proud to see that Browser pop-up, leading you to the Google homepage or MSN or something.
If it didn't work after everything Yak said, perhaps try System restoring, Like reset your computer to the previous week....Unless you've done something real big on your computer lately and don't want to lose it, Otherwise, system restore to the day before the little 'Incident' happened.
Use it as a Plan B more than anything.

On another note, I'm going to just wipe the system. The computer itself keeps freezing up when I have too many things going or if it tries to do anything "big" (Which isn't very big at all) and this prevents me from being able to do a virus scan, as it just freezes up half way (okay, definitely not half way. Maybe 1/4 into it) and then I have to force shut down.
And when the computer freezes, it makes an annoying noise .. Uhm. I don't really have any way of explaining what it is.
But yeah. I'm going to just back up everything and wipe it all. :/

Ok the main reason its freezing is from errors between left over files and new files you need to do what was originally said and thats uninstall msn totally with the uninstall option under the control panel once its done uninstalling you need to nav to the program files folder and delete anything msn related. Once your done with that go to start and click run if your on xp and type cmd if your on vista I think you just type cmd anyway once you do that. Type the following into msdos.. "rundll32 advpack.dll,LaunchINFSection %systemRoot%\INF\msmsgs.inf,BLC.Remove" Once thats done you need to type in "rundll32 setupapi,InstallHinfSection BLC.Remove 128 %systemRoot%\INF\msmsgs.inf" After thats done you can reboot and msn should be totally removed from that point go to the msn website and download a fresh copy unless your computer cant run the new one an if thats the case go to filehippo and download an older version. If thats all to much for you http://messengergeek.spaces.live.com/blog/cns!E3785B1281BBDA1!1118.entry lol you can attempt that tool I havent used it before so I cant really tell you but if you have trouble with it let me know an ill find out what to do.
