Wow, isn't this like the second time? That sucks, man. First ice storm in ten years, second time I lost internet and managed to report it. Yeah, it sucks over here. Nothing to do, until my stepdad finally got to go back to work, that's where I'm getting my internet; huddling by the fireplace in the living room at night; lots of cold... at least we have a gas cooktop. We have to take a flame to it because the ignitor is electric, but we have hot meals none the less. It'll suck, though, when I get power back becuase then I'll have to go back to school D:

One inch of snow = no school Rain for weeks straight (Take into consideration that our school was built on swamp land) = School everyday

It takes like a foot for me to not have school and we don't usually get a lot of snow.

OKAY SERIOUS QUESTION HERE
If things that are really important to the USA, – like the Gettysburg Address and the Declaration of Independence – are so important, they’d have a lot of words, like they do. Logical?
Yeah, I thought so too.
Well, here’s the real question: why, then, are the governmental regulations on the sales of cabbage totaling in at 26,911 words? Shouldn’t it have less? A lot less?

I have no idea... Well, my laptop's acting up, using one of the shop computers right now, but power is predicted to come back on sometime Friday, but it's already been anounced that there is no school for the rest of the week, so I'm hapy. Muffin, that has to be the most awesome thing ever, for an inch of snow to close down a school... Any amount of rain here won't do a thing, unless the streets flood, then the schools would close for safety isuues. Oh yeah, Yak, may I ask where you live, statewise? I will kick you, depending on where you live D:

Yak lives in Canada, that's all you need to know.
Also, it never snows here, but sometimes (very rarely) schools get closed due to heat waves.

Heat waves sound more dangerous than snow for some reason. xD

They are. Heat waves are like days of around 100 degrees F. They can cause sunstroke, fainting, dehydration...

Oh, and thanks for telling me where Yak lived. No, I will not kick you ^^ Well, power came back on yesterday around 6:30 my time, but the internet was still down and my computer still fried. Still don't know what the problem is...

We don't get snow days. We get foggy days, but that only makes the students who ride the bus excused from school.

...If we had that here, I wouldn't have to go to school as much. We can get a lot of fog >.>
